I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming lodge in Methven. the owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even though we arrived later than expected. the lodge had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a cozy living area complete with a fireplace. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, and having an ensuite bathroom was a bonus. the lodge also had a well-equipped communal kitchen, giving us the option to cook our own meals. I also loved the fact that there was a wide selection of DVDs in the communal lounge for our entertainment. our stay at this lodge was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Cons: Was all great! 😊.

The late summer quiet was mind-blowing, very comfortable bed, spectacular kitchen facilities, super caring owner, great workspace, awesome internet.

The beds were super cozy with electric blankets, ensuring a warm and comfortable sleep. The communal area had a lovely fireplace and was always warm and inviting. They even offered to drop us off in town and let us borrow their car for a late-night grocery run. Such a homely atmosphere that made our stay extra special.

The bathroom door was a bit noisy and rattly, making it difficult to lock. However, it was a minor inconvenience compared to all the great things about this place.

The lodge is warm, clean, and beautifully presented. The beds are cozy and the rooms have lovely views. The kitchen is well-equipped and even has extra pantry items. The lounge has a great fire and plenty of entertainment options. it's excellent value for money and I can't wait to come back.

Additionally, the hotel was easily accessible for senior people, with no stairs to climb and wide hallways that made moving around a breeze.

I would have loved to see more assistance readily available for senior people during our stay. While the children working there were friendly and helpful, it would have been nice to have someone specifically designated to cater to the needs of us older folks.

As longer term business travelers, we appreciated the communal kitchen and large dining room. The room was well presented and the owner's hospitality was exceptional. The shuttle bus to Mt Hutt ski area conveniently stopped right in front of the lodge.
